Retention
The retention stage of your treatment starts as soon as your braces are removed. This phase lasts for a minimum of 24 months. Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far!
Bonded lingual retainers are cemented directly to the inside surface of your upper and lower front six teeth. This is one of the best ways to prevent your teeth from shifting because they’re permanently attached! It’s very important to keep them clean. When brushing, make sure to carefully clean the inside of your upper and lower teeth as well as the wire. Be gentle when flossing and these retainers will last a long time.
If your retainer breaks at any time, don’t delay in calling us for an appointment to repair it. Your straight teeth depend on it!
